The 2023 LEC Winter Cut up is underway, with 10 groups going through off for eight spots within the group stage. Observe all of the motion right here.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe League of Legends European Championship has been revamped for the 2023 season and now has a brand new, three-split format, with match days on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. There are additionally two new groups for LEC followers to comply with: Staff Heretics, who acquired Misfits Gaming\u2019s slot, and KOI, who merged with Rogue. <\/p>\n
The winner of the Winter Cut up, determined within the playoff stage, will earn a spot within the LEC Finals together with 120 factors towards qualification for Worlds 2023.<\/p>\n

LEC Winter 2023: Format and schedule<\/h2>\n
Below the LEC\u2019s new format, the ten groups will face one another throughout a three-week span in a single round-robin stage. The highest eight groups will advance to stage 2, a double-elimination group stage with two teams of 4 groups.<\/p>\n

The group winners and runners-up from stage 2 will then progress to the playoffs, additionally that includes a double-elimination bracket.<\/p>\n

The LEC has seen important modifications within the offseason. Together with the format modifications, two new groups joined the league for 2023, KOI and Staff Heretics. <\/p>\n
Many groups turned their rosters inside out for the brand new aggressive calendar in hopes of reaching larger heights in 2023. Fnatic revamped their bot lane, re-signing Martin \u2018Rekkles\u2019 Larsson and selling academy assist R\u00faben \u2018rhuckz\u2019 Barbosa, and so did G2 Esports, who, along with choosing up Steven \u2018Hans sama\u2019 Liv and bringing Mihael \u2018Mikyx\u2019 Mehle again, snared rookie jungler Martin \u2018Yike\u2019 Sundelin.<\/p>\n
